The Account Specialist, Activation is a crucial part of our customer life cycle, responsible for ensuring the success and satisfaction of our high-volume transactional customers. This position plays a vital role in articulating the value of 1Password to customers, assisting, and creating strong relationships with our new and existing clients and matching our product features with customers needs.

Additionally, this role helps with driving value for our customers and provides best practice guidance on using the platform, leading to greater deployment and adoption of 1Password and ultimately to expanding our current customer base. This role requires a proactive and customer-focused individual with a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering world-class customer experiences for our valued 1Password customers.

This is a remote opportunity within the United States and Canada.

What we're looking for:

  • 1+ years in a Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, or any related role, preferably in a SaaS environment.

  • Proven ability to effectively manage a pipeline with consistent performance against various sales metrics (revenue quota, sales target, etc).

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.

  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients to achieve sales goals.

  • Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to articulate complex technical terms in a digestible way.

  • Demonstrated experience handling a high volume of inbound customer inquiries through various channels (e.g, phone, email, and chat).

  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, ensuring customer issues are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability in building customer relationships.

  • Preferred: Experience with 1Password or other password managers.

  • Preferred: Experience with Salesforce, Gainsight etc. or related.

What you can expect:

  • With your team, oversee a large portfolio of clients, supporting admins and owners by understanding their goals, helping deploy their seats, driving good habits to encourage deeper usage and resolving pain points with our solutions.

  • Help drive relevant messaging to large groups of customers and respond to those needing human intervention for driving deployment or adoption or mediate risks.

  • Foster and nurture clients needs and leveraging internal subject matter experts to ensure they are answered accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Proactively engaging clients to assess customer experience and current usage of product, and identify upsell opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Solutions, Growth, Product etc.) to ensure timely addressing of needs.

  • Share client feedback and requirements with cross-functional teams (growth, marketing, operations, etc.) to ensure we're working on projects that support business goals and raise client satisfaction.

  • Monitor metrics and KPIs (activity metrics, time to close, average deal size, etc.) and take action on any trends observed.

  • Utilize Salesforce to accurately manage, track, and report sales activities and results.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $63,000 USD and $85,000 USD, and is commission-eligible. This role is also immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $57,000 CAD and $77,000 CAD and is commission-eligible. This role is also eligible for immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Our approach to work
We recognize the power of both in person collaboration and remote work. Some roles are designated as remote-first, with an expectation that individuals work from their homes majority of the time, while others are designated as in-office roles, with an expectation of being on-site on a regular basis. We recognize that certain roles benefit from regular, in-person connection to support collaboration, team cohesion, and customer engagement.

For all roles, occasional travel may be required. This includes things like: department-wide offsites, quarterly department meetings and periodic customer events. These events are typically held in varying locations across Canada, USA and/or EMEA. In leadership roles, you can expect to travel once per month on average.

Note: All go-to market roles will have an in-person onboarding in Toronto.
